Your Words: Memoir Writing Workshop

“Your Words: Memoir Writing Workshop” engages Spanish-speaking and bilingual adults and seniors in Queens who want to begin writing and sharing their memories, offering a safe and supportive space to unlock their stories and foster community through creative writing. The workshop consists of five in-person, three-hour sessions in which participants will draft and develop their stories and collaborate on the title and cover design of a collective booklet featuring their work. Before submitting to print, writers will have an individual revision meeting with the instructor. The project will culminate in a public reading event where writers will share the stories they wrote in the workshop with the public, friends, family, and their community.
